I've been active most of my life; I was a dancer for over 12 years and was a
cheerleader in high school. I became fairly sedentary in college and became
skinny fat; taking an exercise class here and there and eating a pizza
afterwards. How I didn't blow up is beyond me!
I was about 25 when my ex
and I decided to join the gym together and get into better physical shape. At
first I was so self conscious... but i kept training and began to notice the
desired changes in my body. After a year or so I started teaching Spin classes
and really found my training groove! I would eat sleep and breathe fitness; i
loved it!!
After a year or so my ex began using steroids, and the
quantity and frequency increased dramatically. By the time that unhealthy
relationship finally ended; I was almost emaciated from stress and had a skewed
perception of body image; which is quite a hurdle when you're a
therapist.
I'm finally getting a healthy balance, l've got a great group
of healthy, natural friends who are really supportive and love to train hard. My
goal is to continue sculpting a healthy, tight bikini body...and I don't need to
leg press 500 lbs to do so.
