The mind plays an important role in achieving every kind of success and goal...
With  day-to-day goals it's not usually too bad but when it comes to major goals, most people don't know what they really desire. They desire to do something big, but don't have the mindset to make it happen the focus to get it. They don't have the mindset set to change.......
To accomplish anything you need to use your  positive mindset, you have to know exactly what it is you want to do. You need to have a clear and well defined goal. How do you go about that?
You have first take time to look at where you are now and where you want to be.
After discovering what you really want to accomplish, you need to come up with a plan of action.
After deciding on a goal and coming up with a plan, you need to have a clear mental image of your goal. You need to see it accomplished. This step requires that you use your imagination, which is another power of the mind.  Look at photos of what you want to achieve, and then close your eyes, and try to see it in your imagination. When you see it for yourself it becomes easier for you to believe you can have it...Get inspired
At this point you have to display patience, self-discipline and the power to persist in your efforts. This requires a one very determined and focused mind.
Affirmations are a useful mental tool for achieving success. If your affirmations are positive, they lead you to success. Think good thoughts and be proud of yourself where you are right now.
You will  have people that will question your goals and tell you your missing out on things but just know your taking the steps to get healthier and there's nothing you will be missing from that!!
