Here then, are the seven ways to make every day count:

1.    Begin your day with a sense of gratitude. Gratitude is a vital part of growth and success. It enhances your life by bringing you more and more things to be grateful for. Instead of placing your attention on what you don't have, place your attention on what you DO have and BE GRATEFUL FOR IT-whatever it is. Gratitude is appreciation. And, appreciation is about increasing the value of something. You may think you have nothing to be grateful for. That is not the case. You have much to be grateful for, but you need to look for it and appreciate it. Perhaps it is your home, your family, your friends, your spouse, your children, the sunshine, etc. All of these things are definitely something to be grateful for. And, each person needs to determine what goes on this list for themselves-no one can do it for you, because no one else is you. BE GRATEFUL!

2.    Picture your day going exactly the way that you want it to go. What do you want to have happen today? Picture these events clearly in your mind-as if they are already happening. Put some emotion into it, as well. How will you feel when such and such happens? Add all the emotion you can to this mental movie. A little addition to this is to let "the higher power" in your life know that you'd like to see something happen that surprises you and lets you know that they were watching and involved. You'll be amazed at the surprises you get.

3.    Implement your action plan. You should have an "action list" for every day. Do this the night before. This is a list of things to do, tasks to undertake. It is not always set in stone; things happen along the way, and we all have to make adjustments. But, having a to do list will give you a definite starting point for making things happen. And, as you complete tasks, check them off your list. Nothing gives you a feeling of accomplishment like the feeling you get when you can check off a goal as being completed.

4.    Do something nice for someone else. Help someone else get done what they need to get done. Lend a helping hand. Just go out of your way and do a good deed-every day. By the way, you are allowed to do more than one. When you perform this "good deed", do it with the mindset of not receiving anything in return. Do it because it is a good thing to do. You will feel AMAZING!
5.    Engage in some quiet time/meditation. We all need time for ourselves to reflect and clear our minds of the clutter that gets in. You should devote 15 - 30 minutes daily to this practice. Not only does this help in maintaining peace of mind, but it also develops your awareness.

6.    Work on things that move your closer to your dreams and goals. If you spend all of your waking hours working for someone else, and never do anything to move your closer to your dreams and goals, chances are that you will not reach your dreams and goals. Not only that, but your sense of accomplishment will suffer drastically-because you are always "doing for someone else and never for yourself". Be sure to invest some of your time, daily, to working on what you want.

7.    Take time to visualize. That's right-visualize. You need to take time every day and picture in your mind the life that you desire. As with all visualization, make sure that you charge it with emotion and feel the feelings you would feel as if it already is. All things begin in the mind, and, therefore, it is no different with you. Create what you desire mentally, first; then, through your action plans, you can begin working on seeing the physical manifestation of your desired reality.
