Feature Friday "Ferlazzo"

Theresa Ferlazzo & I met on face book about a year ago through a friend who referred her to me for some online training help. When I met her I wasn't too sure what to do with her (lol) she was a vegetarian who hated meat...so opposite from me! What I think alot of you can learn from Theresa is that no matter what giving up is not an option. I was amazed at the fight this girl had in her even when the scale wouldn't budge she kept pushing! I think when you read her story you'll realize why Theresa was my first pic for the Feature member. With what first started out as a client ....turned into a wonderful lifelong friend. Here is her story...Enjoy :)

So remember I am not a novelist LOL.
When Vicki asked me to tell my " story " ... I thought ummmm what "story"??
The story where I spent years tring to reach my goals? The story where I complained and pushed through workouts that almost killed me??? No no maybe the story how I am a freak of nature because my body is not responding to any of this, yet crazy me keeps doing it anyway.. Insane!!
I could always share how I changed my eating and what workouts I did. But most of you know what to eat and how to workout. So what could I possibly offer ???
I decided to really think about what would help the most and this is what I came up with........
The truth is what counts more in the journey to health and fitness, more than calories, carbs, proteins, reps weight or even looks is the determination attitude and awareness of each and every step you take. The never give up mentality that can help you appreciate not only the successes but also the failures. To learn and grow and get to know who and what you are made of.
We spend so much time worrying about getting "THERE" we forget about "HERE" which is where we are day to day. I know that is what I did... All I could do was focus on getting the goal weight, the look of the fitness model...blah blah blah.. I was driving myself CRAZY!!!!!
So for the sake of myself, my family and all human kind I did some self searching and and here is what I realized.......
The scale has no value and means nothing
Goals are ever changing
Results are made to be broken...aka we always want better
Feeling good trumps looking good
This is not a race
There is no "end"
The moral of my story is this.... Focus on being strong, healthy, happy and enjoy the daily journey. That is the goal and that is the end. Believe and love yourself no matter what.
I never gave up and always(well almost always) thought I could do it because, I am STRONG mentally and physically just like all of you..:)
